How to Succeed in a Massively Open Online Course (MOOC) (CFHE12)

MOOCs are becoming more common these days. I seem to be getting notification of them on at least one per week. Having just completely MobiMOOC, I've signed up for a few of new ones this fall – EdFutures, a connectivist inspired MOOC, which starts today; a Coursera MOOC "Design: Creation of Artifacts in Society" which officially starts in two week; and a Udacity course "CS253 Web Development" which doesn't have a specific start date. Although I've signed up for the latter, I likely won't get started on it until November or December due to other committments.

If you are thinking about MOOCing, I encourage you to take a quick read of an article that Apostolos Koutropoulos and I wrote for Learning Solutions Mangazine – published today (just in time for the start of EdFutures) at: http://www.learningsolutionsmag.com/articles/1023/how-to-succeed-in-a-massive-online-open-course-mooc

Happy MOOCing!

Be a Patron of My Art

Help support the podcasts financially. I’m not asking for big donations. I’m looking for $3 per month via the Patreon app. This app allows you to support me as an Artist. Your support is amplified as it gives me a greater opportunity to access grants. Your $3 per month makes a difference!

An illustration featuring a feather quill in an ink bottle, a heart above the quill, and a vintage-style microphone beside it. To the right, large text reads ‘Be a Patron of My Art.’ The design uses soft colors and has a creative, artistic theme
