I have found the latest Evernote app for my iPhone not as intuitive as I'd have liked – such a that it was taking me too long to figure out how to open a new note, such that I forgot what I was going to write down! I miss having the Android thing that stayed on the screen all the time, so all I had to do was push a "new note" button.
Anyways, since the iOS7 upgrade, I haven't been able to figure out how to add a new event in my calendar – the new interface is a mystery to me. I did, however, discover that I could just tell Siri "Add a meeting on Saturday at 9am with Jane at Starbucks".
So, after seeing how well Siri interfaced with Calendar, I wanted to figure out how to use Siri to create a message in Evernote (note that I have always used Siri to dictate the text of the note, I just didn't know how to use Siri to generate the note so that I didn't need to do any typing. So, I Googled it and came across this post – http://www.iphonehacks.com/2011/11/how-to-dictate-notes-in-evernote-with-siri-on-iphone-4s.html. It is a bit of an old post, but it works like a charm!
So now, I can "send mail to Evernote" and Siri will walk me through composing a short email message which automatically gets added as a note in Evernote.
